More than anything I wish certain communities online would just stop being so darn apologetic to big corporate behemoths. it's not about who to blame in the end but it's hard to deny the corporate structures of EA simply hurt BioWare as it had to grow fast, deliver games faster and collapsed under its own weight, along with the ruination of the previously good franchises affected by those "EA" changes to the company.
So stop saying it's suddenly not EA at all just because BioWare has shitty management, I mean. They used to work at EA and were brought on in order to satisfy the sorts of financial results EA had tasked BioWare to provide them with. The marketing people they had on ME3 did not come from BioWare.
The director of Marketing for Mass Effect 3 is why we got that insane marketing plan where they were like "This is the PERFECT game for new players!", similar in the way Dead Space 3 was a dudebro shooter in order to justify the franchise's existence (they thought). Not naming names because that isn't the point: The point is that this I believe represents the mentality of marketing and how big it is under EA.
